Acrylic Partial Dentures in Gretna, LA

At NOLA Dentures and General Dentistry, Dr. Russell Schafer gives patients back great smiles.  Often times, a patient needs their smile restored due to a missing tooth and an acrylic partial denture can be the best way to do it for many people.  Dr. Schafer loves making acrylic partial dentures for his patients as this type of prosthetic can be fabricated quickly, look natural, and be cost-effective for many people.

All of our dentures are custom made by expert USA dental technicians so that your teeth feel good and look great. We do not use cheap foreign labs or low-quality denture materials and Dr. Schafer takes much pride in helping his patients look their best and feel their best.  The acrylic partial denture is preferred by many patients because it can be both a good temporary option or a good long-term option depending on a person's needs.

Immediate Acrylic Partial Dentures

If a tooth in the smile has to be removed due to infection or trauma, a replacement is usually placed that same day.  With an acrylic partial denture, Dr. Schafer can remove the bad tooth and replace it with an acrylic partial denture the same day.  This is wonderful for many people who cannot leave with an embarrassing smile.  As the mouth heals, the prosthetic can be easily modified to better fit the gums and other teeth.

Conventional Acrylic Partial Dentures

Dr. Schafer also fabricates conventional acrylic partial dentures.  These dentures use a strong acrylic frame that fits around the natural teeth and gums and uses wires to connect to one or two natural teeth to give it support and retention.  By judicious use of the frame and wires, Dr. Schafer achieves a strong, tight fit that makes both wearing the partial and chewing with the partial more comfortable.
